My name’s Wayne and I’m looking for friendship with the hopes of finding a long-term relationship to build something genuine that will transcend these prison walls and enrich both our lives; Love, family, and friends, that’s what’s important to me. Unfortunately, it took coming to prison for me to realize that.
I believe everything in life happens for a reason. Life is about choices, we can choose to be an idle victim of our circumstances and let it consume us or we can take active control and embrace it, learn from it, and better ourselves in the process. Consequently, I took action by using my prison time constructively to better myself in every way possible. Currently, I am enrolled in the University of Oregon’s Inside Out Program, which provides low cost college education for the incarcerated.
in prison, I enjoy reading, writing, working, studying, lifting weights, and playing handball. Also I work as a DMV telephone agent/lead trainer. On the streets, I’m into: dirt bike riding, hiking, camping, fishing, long walks, cuddling by the fire, and I love dogs.
My short-term goals are to earn a Bachelor’s degree with a major in psychology and social work. My long-term goals are to own a vehicle restoration business while using my degrees to work with at risk youth. Based on my extensive experiences in life and prison, I plan to help troubled youth forge a better path than the one I led. If I can help just one kid, then all this pain and loneliness will have been worth enduring. Strange, how a man surrounded by a thousand faces in prison can feel so alone. Today, I try to surround myself with people who are of the same positive mindset as I; are you one of those people?
